F2D Medical and Luquet & Duranton at JNI 2025: Thermodiag, an innovative solution for temperature monitoring in infectious diseases
From 11 to 13 June 2025, F2D Medical participated for the first time in the Journées Nationales d’Infectiologie (JNI), a major event bringing together more than 2,000 healthcare professionals to discuss current issues in the fight against infections. Alongside Luquet & Duranton, our exclusive distributor in France, we had the opportunity to present Thermodiag, our non-invasive medical device for continuous monitoring of core body temperature.
Thermodiag: a comfortable multi-sensor armband for core body temperature monitoring.
Body temperature is a key marker in the detection, monitoring and management of infectious diseases. However, it is often measured on an ad hoc basis, manually and sometimes with limited accuracy.
With Thermodiag, F2D Medical offers a reliable and easy-to-integrate alternative for healthcare protocols:
- Real-time monitoring of core body temperature via a non-invasive armband,
- High-precision detection to identify micro-variations that are sometimes invisible to traditional methods,
- Automated messages in the event of abnormal temperature drift, facilitating a rapid clinical response.
This system can be easily integrated into infectious disease units, intensive care units or as part of post-operative monitoring.
Fruitful exchanges with clinicians.
At this conference, our stand attracted the attention of infectious disease specialists, hospital pharmacists, biomedical engineers and healthcare executives looking for concrete solutions to:
- Objectively measure fever and its variations in bacterial or viral infections,
- Optimise the initiation of anti-infective treatments,
- Better document the temperature changes of hospitalised patients or those receiving home care.
Feedback highlighted a shared need: a simple, automated and reliable tool to improve clinical responsiveness and limit the risks associated with inaccurate or infrequent temperature readings.
